Tiffany & Co.’s Taikoo Li Sanlitun Beijing Flagship Opens

Tiffany & Co. has debuted its Taikoo Li Sanlitun flagship in Beijing.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new flagship store in Taikoo Li Sanlitun, Beijing, exemplifying Tiffany & Co.’s unwavering commitment to China and showcasing our latest store design concept,” chief executive officer Anthony Ledru said. “Providing an experience beyond traditional retail, the new store is a cultural hub that seamlessly brings together exquisite art, craft and heritage in one location.

“Immersing passersby in the wonder of Tiffany, the store’s facade was designed by MVRDV and draws inspiration from the timeless sophistication of Elsa Peretti’s masterpieces,” the CEO said of the responsibly recycled and locally manufactured glass fins that adorn the building, creating wave-like fluidity and a luminous expression of shades of blue as light shifts across its surface.

“Combining Tiffany’s history of glassmaking with architecture and illumination, the facade stands as a contemporary interpretation of our enduring identity,” Ledru added.

Upon entering, shoppers are welcomed by sparkling crystal chandeliers that interplay with the champagne gold leaf ceiling. Handcrafted walls with gilded accents create a backdrop for the American brand’s collections, including HardWear by Tiffany, Lock by Tiffany, Knot by Tiffany and T by Tiffany, as well as Tiffany watches. At the foot of the staircase, a bronze sculpture, “Pair” by British sculptor Tony Cragg, leads visitors toward the second floor.

The upper level is all about love with “Color & Light” commissioned by Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto signaling the continuation of a retail journey. Overhead, a chandelier composed of iridescent flower petals cascades from the ceiling, illuminating Tiffany & Co.’s engagement rings and diamond assortment. A heritage window, titled “Cupid’s Arrow,” showcases an arrangement of gold arrows forming a heart, celebrating the theme of love.

Throughout the store consumers can view an extensive selection of art, including a vintage Tiffany dogwood table lamp from 1900 and “Endless Blue No. 3” by Chinese artist Xiyao Wang.

Taikoo Li Sanlitun was a pioneer in introducing the concept of neighborhood shopping to China when it opened in 2008 and has recently gone through a luxe transformation teeing up a slew of high-profile luxury flagship debuts including Dior, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Loro Piana, Saint Laurent, Alaïa and Sacai.

Tiffany & Co. has bet big on China, debuting its newly transformed Taikoo Li flagship in Chengdu, China, the  brand’s first triplex flagship in the country, at the start of 2025.
