Between the Wollman Skating Rink and the horse-drawn carriage rides, New York’s Central Park is a holiday destination and now J.Crew is part of the experience.
J.Crew’s “Miracle in Manhattan” pop up opened inside the Central Park Boathouse on Saturday with booths showcasing the brand’s holiday collection, gifts, refreshments, a hot dog cart, gift wrapping, giveaways, photo opps with Santa, and an overall feel-good, festive vibe. J.Crew took over about half of the Boathouse on dockside, including the back patio and dining area. J.Crew gifts include Fair Isle and cashmere sweaters and accessories, family pajamas, and accessories for women, men and kids. The holiday pop up will only be open Saturday till 5 p.m. and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
J.Crew executives said “Miracle in Manhattan” is part of the brand’s strategy to provide immersive experiences, and “drive engagement and customer acquisition.” Last September, J.Crew took over 190 Bowery in Manhattan showcasing its design codes through the decades – heritage, prep, cashmere and stripes
“It has been so much fun creating this celebration of warmth, whimsy, and nostalgia – that frosty, bundled-up feeling of Manhattan during the festive months,” said Julia Collier, J.Crew’s chief marketing officer. “We can’t wait for everyone to experience the best of J.Crew’s holiday collections alongside classic, New York–inspired festive moments this weekend in Central Park.”
