Here is Everything to Know About The Fashion Awards 2025

Domingo Time: A day before this year’s Fashion Awards, slated for Dec. 1 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the British Fashion Council revealed actor, playwright, director, and style icon Colman Domingo as the host of the fundraising fashion extravaganza.

A two-time BAFTA and Oscar nominee, Domingo is best known for his portrayal of Civil Rights leader Bayard Rustin in the movie “Rustin” and “Sing Sing,” which he executive produced. He has won an Emmy for “Euphoria” and received another nomination for “The Four Seasons.”

Next year, he is set to appear in “Michael,” the biographical musical drama film about Michael Jackson, directed by Antoine Fuqua, as well as Steven Spielberg’s untitled sci-fi film, which is rumored to be about UFOs.

He has also been a fashion darling in recent years, serving memorable looks at major events, such as this year’s WWD Honors celebration and the Met Gala. Last month, he was named Valentino Beauty’s new global brand ambassador for its fragrance lines.

Laura Weir, chief executive officer at the BFC, said Domingo has had a standout year in film, television, and theatre, and he’s a fashion icon whose red carpet style has set a fresh agenda for men’s fashion.

“As host of the Fashion Awards 2025, he brings the presence, spark, and originality that make him such a compelling figure on and off screen,” added Weir, who is set to unveil her strategy for the BFC going forward in the coming weeks.

This year’s fashion awards, the primary fundraiser of the BFC Foundation, will be Weir’s first major project to organize.

The annual Fashion Awards event is a key fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, and the money goes towards supporting students and fashion talent through a variety of programs.

The BFC Foundation offers four talent prizes: the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund; the BFC/GQ Designer Fashion Fund; BFC Newgen, and the BFC Fashion Trust.

The foundation also offers BA and MA scholarships to students and connects them with industry figures through design competitions and Graduate Preview Day, which takes place each year.
