Dior Names Thai Stars Lingling and Orm as New Brand Ambassadors

THE POWER OF TWO: Dior has named Thai actresses Sirilak Kwong, better known as Lingling, and Kornnaphat Sethratanapong, nicknamed Orm, as brand ambassadors, cementing the skyrocketing popularity of Thai drama stars, who are challenging K-pop idols as the top fashion week influencers.

The duo, popularly known by the portmanteau LingOrm, starred together in their breakout show “The Secret of Us,” which they followed this year with “Only You.” Both are part of the growing girls’ love, or GL, genre, which has drawn a massive global following.

In a statement shared exclusively with WWD, Dior hailed them as “a captivating duo who perfectly embody Dior’s spirit of freedom and constantly reinvented elegance.”

Lingling and Orm made their Paris Fashion Week debuts at the Dior show in March, and by the time they returned for Jonathan Anderson’s debut womenswear show in October, they outstripped all the competition in terms of earned media value, according to a report by Karla Otto, Lefty and CTZAR.

“For the first time, Thai drama stars outrank K-pop icons. Their strategy? Volume. Lingling Kwong and Orm Kornnaphat posted 50 times about Dior, driving soaring engagement and EMV,” it said.

Orm was the biggest influencer of the spring 2026 season, with EMV of $23.5 million, with Lingling in second position, with EMV of $21.5 million.

Lingling was born in Hong Kong to a Chinese father and Thai mother and has lived in Hong Kong and Thailand. Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Thai, she got her start in beauty pageants before being scouted by Thai TV network Channel 3.

In addition to being an ambassador for companies including K-beauty brand Hera, Lingling is the founder and chief executive officer of the lifestyle brand Always Wonder.

The star, who has 2.7 million followers on Instagram, said she was honored to join Dior under Anderson’s creative direction. “I truly believe in his genius and artistic vision,” she said.

Orm, the daughter of veteran Thai actress Koy Narumon Phongsuphap, got her start in entertainment in 2019 in the series “Hotel Stars” and has since racked up Channel 3 dramas including “Game of Outlaws.” With 2.4 million Instagram followers, she also has her own fashion line, called Keep Silent.

“I am delighted and so grateful to step into the new role as an ambassador with Dior. With my respect for the legacy of the house, this partnership, especially under Jonathan Anderson’s vision, feels like a dream to me,” Orm said.

Channel 3 announced last week the duo would appear next year in a third series, adapted from the novel “Wad Fun Wan Wiwa.”

Dior was one of the first French luxury houses to spot the potential of the Thai Wave, signing actors Nattawin Wattanagitiphat, aka Apo, and Phakphum Romsaithong, known as Mile, as men’s ambassadors in 2023.
