Princess Charlene Channels Autumnal Quiet Luxury With Neutral Palette

Princess Charlene of Monaco merged quiet luxury style sensibility with muted, neutral tones for the autumn season during her time with the Red Cross for the organization’s gift distribution on Friday in Monaco.

For the daytime outing, Princess Charlene, joined by her husband of 14 years, Prince Albert II, wore a mocha-toned coordinated coat and turtleneck, both of which were crafted in a soft fabric and paired with trousers and flats.

The royal’s double-breasted wool coat featured two parallel buttons on the front, with a wide collar and lapels with soft edges creating a dimensional element. The coat, paired with Princess Charlene’s turtleneck, was rendered in the same shade of mocha for a complementary and coordinated look.

To contrast the neutral shades of her turtleneck and coat, Princess Charlene wore a pair of crisp white trousers with a front pleat and wide-leg design. Though the trousers continued the neutral approach to her overall attire, they also broke up the would-be monochrome look, creating a dimensional colorscape.

What brought all of the tonal elements of her attire together were the royal’s two-tone Roger Vivier flats, which featured cream and mocha tones with a square detail near the pointed toe. Princess Charlene accessorized her look with pearls, and her hair was coiffed with a slight side part and wisps of hair to frame her face.

Like other royals, including Meghan Markle, variations on the quiet luxury trend have found a foothold in a number of royal wardrobes across the globe. For Princess Charlene, finding neutral tones and streamlined silhouettes has always been a mainstay of her royal wardrobe.

As the vice president of Monaco’s Red Cross, Princess Charlene regularly attends several events throughout the year to promote the nonprofit organization. In July, the former competitive swimmer wore an ice blue Elie Saab gown for the 76th Monaco Red Cross Ball at Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer’s Salle des Etoiles.
