Formula 1 Driver Charles Leclerc Launches CL16 Apparel Line

Charles Leclerc on Friday unveiled the debut of his apparel line. The brand’s name, CL16, derives from the initials of his name and his favored racing number, 16.

The launch of the limited-edition line marks Leclerc’s newest title as creative director and his first foray into spearheading design elements for his collection. Leclerc has previously worked with Rocco Iannone on a capsule collection for Ferrari Style, which was released during his race at the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix.

Leclerc previously told WWD that “[fashion] shows a different side of me, which I think is important. […] I’m most known for being a racing driver but I’m also a very creative person. It’s important to me to show that side of me as well. It’s not just about what I do professionally but also who I am as a person — and how I can show that in the most authentic way through the way I dress.”

CL16 said that the line features “timeless” pieces that also reflect the Ferrari driver’s personal tastes and creative vision. The Formula 1 driver’s apparel line drew on his European upbringing and the ‘90s for inspiration. Leclerc was heavily involved in every aspect of the line’s launch — from design sketches to fabric curation and artistic direction of the campaign’s accompanying photo and video.

The 12-piece collection features a Leclerc logo across a cream cashmere hoodie, long and short sleeve t-shirts, a graphic wool-blend scarf, a classic snapback cap, a box-cut hoodie in a red racing car hue with “Sedici” (or 16 in Italian) on it, a beanie, a signature keychain and a knit sweater for dogs. The colorways also nod to Leclerc’s Monegasque heritage with its white and red flag colors woven throughout.

The campaign imagery was shot in a launderette by his longtime photographer Antoine Truchet — featuring Leclerc; his new fiancée, Alexandra Saint Mleux, and the couple’s paddock-famous dog, Leo. CL16 said the collection looks beyond athletic leisurewear and is defined by its modern pieces line as wardrobe staples.

“I wanted to create something that felt personal, for the people who have supported me from the start,” said Leclerc. “CL16 is about pieces that reflect my own sense of style: timeless, understated and made to last. It’s about creating something genuine, designed with care and meant to be lived in.”

The limited-edition first CL16 collection is available now at shop.charlesleclerc.com, and ranges from 48 euros to 150 euros.
