Troy Franklin start or sit: Week 10 fantasy football advice

Thursday Night Football for Week 10 brings us two AFC West teams at opposite ends of the standings. The 7-2 Denver Broncos will host the 2-6 Las Vegas Raiders as big 9.5-favorites in Mile High. The Broncos aren’t always winning pretty, with nail-biters against the JEts, Giants, and Texans, but they are winning. And one player who has seen a recent uptick in usage is wide receiver Troy Franklin.

Below, we’ll go over Troy Franklin’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 10.

Fantasy Football analysis: Broncos, WR, Troy Franklin

Franklin adn Bo Nix put up big numbers in Oregon together and that connection is often in the back of fantasy footballer’s minds when projecting the second-year receiver. Mostly we’ve just seen flashes of that connection along with limited usage, but slowly this season things have changed.

Their connection isn’t perfect yet, but Franklin now has three straight games of eight or more targets. Franklin is also consistently seeing the second most snaps behind Courtland Sutton and on the season, Franklin has two more targets. Over the last three weeks Franklin has three touchdown receptions and is now tied with Sutton at four a piece.

The Raiders are weak against the pass, allowing the third-most wide receiver receptions and fifth-most receiving yards. And now with Brock Bowers back in the fold, maybe they can move the ball a bit and push the Broncos, who play down to opponents more often than not. And as long as Franklin is seeing these elevated target numbers, I’m happy to give him a start in a good matchup this week.
