Nike is courting the Aritzia girl. The athletic brand has teamed up with the women’s label to reinterpret the trendy Nike LD-1000 sneaker, with early access to the product beginning Wednesday via the Aritzia App, which just launched this month. The official launch is slated for Thursday, when the LD-1000 “Edition A” sneaker will be available in retail stores and via the app.
Considering the Aritzia client in the design process, the sneaker blends nostalgic sport heritage with fashion-forward sensibility. The shoe channels Aritzia’s “Everyday Luxury” ethos while celebrating Nike’s design language; it’s crafted in premium leather and features a logo hit in a new location — rather than a classic side Swoosh, a smaller one makes a subtle statement on the front of the shoe.

The sneaker showcases a hue called Fauna Brown, which is on trend for the fall season. Not to mention, the collaboration also gets in the shoe charm trend — every pair bought from Aritzia comes with one of two limited-edition Aritzia charms. Pricing for the Aritzia x Nike LD-1000 “Edition A” is set at $165.

Nike x Aritzia
The Nike LD-1000 is a style dating back to 1977, created with an ultra-flared heel intended for long-distance runners; it also featured Nike’s famous waffle sole, which cofounder Bill Bowerman is credited with inventing using a waffle iron. However, it turned out the flared heel element could cause injuries to runners, so the brand recalled the shoe; decades later, Nike adjusted the heel for a 2024 relaunch of the style, which turned out to be a buzzy return. A collaboration with streetwear brand Stüssy emphasized the stir around the silhouette.
Reworking the Nike LD-1000 isn’t the first shoe collaboration to hail from Aritzia. The brand has also collaborated with Sperry to create boat shoes, another trendy style of 2025.
