A.J. Brown missed a third consecutive day of practice on Friday, as the wide receiver’s status for the Philadelphia Eagles’ game Sunday against the New York Giants is now clearly in doubt.
Brown was a standout for Philadelphia in the Eagles’ 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings last week. Targeted six times by quarterback Jalen Hurts, the receiver hauled in four of those targets for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
However, Brown missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday due to a hamstring injury. While head coach Nick Sirianni said on Friday that the wide receiver does not need to practice before Sunday’s game against the Giants, Brown was again held out of the Eagles’ practice today.
On the season, Brown has caught 29 passes for 395 yards and three touchdowns. When these two teams last met back in Week 6, Brown caught six passes for 80 yards, but was held out of the end zone, as the Giants surprised the Eagles by winning 34-17 on Thursday Night Football.
