Alicia Silverstone Makes Sharp Points with Slingbacks for ‘Bugonia’

Alicia Silverstone was draped in red flowers at the “Bugonia” premiere held at the Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday in New York. The actress paired her white gown with pops of red all over, including her lipstick and her bright red slingback pumps.

The shoes were made from shiny red leather and featured a closed, sharply pointed toe. The heels feature adjustable slingback ankle straps that hold the shoe in place, and they balance atop a slim, 4-inch stiletto heel. The shoes feature a wide toe box and a vamp that lands higher on the foot, fully concealing the toe area.

The pointed pump peeked through the high-low hem of the Carolina Herrera dress Silverstone wore. The white gown is from the designer’s spring 2026 collection and is decorated with a floral pattern of red carnations and bright green stems, which make the pumps pop.

The dress featured a strapless design and a voluminous, ruffled, balloon bodice and a full skirt that extended into a train on the red carpet. Silverstone styled the look with diamond drop earrings in silver, with a bold red lip, and her hair pulled back into a bun.

Slingback pumps have been a favorite red carpet shoe style as of late, as celebrities have been ditching strappy sandals for the sleek, office-inspired design. Some popular styles have been the Christian Louboutin Hot Chick slingback pumps, the Saint Laurent Vendome slingbacks, the Paris Texas Lidia slingback pumps, and more.

“Bugonia” hits theaters on Oct. 31 and the film follows two conspiracy-obsessed men who kidnap Michelle Fuller, played by Emma Stone. Michelle is the chief executive officer of a major company, and the kidnappers become convinced that she’s an alien who wants to destroy Earth. The film, which had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival in August, also stars Aidan Delbis and Stavros Halkias, and was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.
