At IACP 2025, Ottawa-based Versaterm announced a new partnership with Californian company Vantage Robotics to integrate the Vesper and Trace UAVs into its public safety platform. The collaboration expands Versaterm’s secure, National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant portfolio of Blue UAS cleared and U.S.-manufactured drones.
“Our mission is to provide first responders with secure, reliable technology to protect themselves and their communities,” said Christopher Eyhorn, General Manager of DroneSense by Versaterm. “The addition of Vantage Robotics’ Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) reflects our vision for a new era of public safety where agencies can deploy high-performance drones as seamlessly as they dispatch patrol units.”
The Vesper drone offers rugged reliability, extended endurance, and superior low-light imaging, with 48x zoom, 55 minutes of flight time, and whisper-quiet operation. Designed under Blue UAS standards, it provides commanders with real-time situational awareness and unified fleet management through DroneSense by Versaterm’s OpsHub.
Trace, purpose-built for rapid deployment and ISR missions, combines a compact half-pound frame with powerful imaging. With 48 MP EO capability, infrared options, 40 minutes of endurance, and 25-knot wind resistance, Trace delivers reliable performance in demanding conditions.
“At Vantage Robotics, we created Vesper and Trace to meet the critical demands of public safety missions,” said Tobin Fisher, CEO of Vantage Robotics. “Through our partnership with Versaterm, agencies gain unmatched operational capability while ensuring the highest standards of data security and trust.”
Vesper is now available through the Versaterm platform, with Trace coming soon. Agencies can explore the integrated solutions at booth #1373 during IACP 2025.
