Lainey Wilson Brings Music and Fashion Together at SiriusXM

Lainey Wilson brought her signature country core style to the SiriusXM studio on Tuesday in Nashville.

Wilson styled a jumpsuit featuring varying cool tones of blue in contrast with warm, autumnal hues of red, orange and peach. The jumpsuit featured long sleeves and a plunging neckline with sharp lapels. At the base of the neckline the zipper was made a standout element in white, contrasting the colorful fabric.

The design of the piece included wide legs, echoing the staple bell bottoms Wilson has worn in the past. At the hem of both the long sleeves and pants were fringed fabric elements, adding a vintage appeal to the overall look.

The “Heart Like a Truck” singer added country core accessory pieces to her attire, wearing a horseshoe necklace with shimmering, multicolor gemstones and adding a soft beige cowgirl hat to her look. Her hair was pulled back and Wilson’s makeup featured a clean aesthetic.

Over the course of the last few years, Wilson’s leveraged her idiosyncratic country and Western style as a foray into the fashion and accessories world. Building a bridge between her country music and penchant for style, the singer’s already curated collections in collaboration with Wrangler and jewelry designer Kendra Scott.

More recently, however, Wilson debuted her Western boot brand Golden West. With the guidance of fashion veteran and Golden West creative director Michael Petry, who’s worked with such brands and labels as Frye, Tumi, Ralph Lauren, Prada and Adidas, Wilson’s brand gives Western boots a playful, contemporary spin.

“Western fashion is part of who I am and always has been. It’s second nature to me, on and off stage,” Wilson told Footwear News via email. “There’s nothing more country than a broken-in pair of boots. I love putting my music into the brand, which is why you’ll see boots rooting back to some of my songs both in design inspiration and names.”
