Bath and Body Works is adding new sweet treats to its scent menu ahead of the holiday season.
In collaboration with the award-winning bakery and ice cream parlor, Milk Bar, the brand will launch four new fragrances inspired by the confectioner’s delectables — Cinnamon Pretzel Cookie, Raspberry Holiday Pie Bar, Peppermint Bark Truffle and Cereal Milk Soft Serve — on Thursday. The four fragrances will be available to purchase in a wide assortment, including three-wick candles, fine fragrance mists, body creams, body washes, foaming hand soaps, hand sanitizer sprays, laundry care, decor and wallflowers.

“Our innovative approach to fragrance development allowed us to create true-to-life scents that smell just like your favorite Milk Bardesserts,” Betsy Schumacher, Bath and Body Works chief merchandising officer, told WWD via email. “Our experts spent hours in the bakery, capturing the sweetness and complexity of these ingredients and packaging them into an indulgent collection we know consumers will love. These fragrances are warm, inviting and authentic, evoking that ‘just-out-of-the-oven’ experience. It’s a truly delicious way to make your everyday feel a little more special.”
The holiday drop is the second installment of Milk Bar’s partnership with Bath and Body Works, following the release of “Birthday Cake,” a vanilla-infused scent that spanned the beauty brand’s top products, from candles to body mists, released in September. Unlike “Birthday Cake,” the new additions blend both sweet and salty notes with toasted pretzel, chocolate, raspberry and peppermint.
The collection will feature Cinnamon Pretzel Cookie, Raspberry Holiday Pie Bar, Peppermint Bark Truffle and Cereal Milk Soft Serve scents.
“As a pastry chef, I’ve always been hyper aware of how much flavor storytelling beings with scent. It’s such an invitation in, even before you take your first bite. What I loved about working with Bath and Body Works is how deeply they also understood this connection between scent and desserts, truly replicating not only the scent of our treats, but the magical feeling of walking into our kitchens and bakeries,” Milk Bar owner Christina Tosi told WWD.
In addition to the arrival of the four flavors in product form, Milk Bar will offer the edible versions. Both the Raspberry Holiday Pie Bar and the Cinnamon pretzel Cookie are new additions to the menu, while the Peppermint Bark Cake is a returning holiday favorite. The Cereal Milk Soft Serve and Birthday Cake are two of Milk Bar’s bestselling treats.
The scent collection will also include small accessories, including key chains.
This is hardly the first time Bath and Body Works has introduced a food– or drink-inspired scent offering. In fact, the brand’s vanilla-infused fragrances have transcended generations since making a big splash in the early 2000s. Yet, the launch of its second Milk Bar collaboration comes at a unique time as the gourmand category is predicted to top holiday sales inside major retailers this year amid burgeoning interest. “Love Island USA” star Leah Kateb is bolstering the rise of gourmand with her perfume brand, Skylar, and its recent launch, Double Dates.
