Calian GNSS Showcases New Antenna Solutions at Intergeo 2025

Canadian positioning sensor developer Calian GNSS has launched two advanced antenna solutions designed for precision navigation applications: the HC3990XF housed full-band helical antenna and the next-generation Accutenna 4 antenna family, with the latter showcased at Intergeo 2025.

HC3990XF Technical Specifications

The HC3990XF helical antenna measures 66.5 mm in base diameter, 34 mm in height, and weighs just 105 grams. The antenna requires no ground plane, making it ideal for size-constrained applications. It supports comprehensive constellation coverage including GPS/QZSS-L1/L2/L5, QZSS-L6, GLONASS-G1/G2/G3, Galileo-E1/E5a/E5b/E6, BeiDou-B1/B2a/B2b/B3, and NavIC-L5 frequency bands, plus regional SBAS services.

The antenna features Calian’s eXtended Filtering technology, providing mitigation against LTE interference including Ligado service signals (1526-1536 MHz), European Band 32 (1452-1496 MHz), and Japanese Bands 11 and 21 (1476-1511 MHz). Standard through-hole design supports TNC, Type N, and cabled connectors.

Accutenna 4 Family Features

The Accutenna 4 series utilizes a stacked composite patch antenna element with quad-feed design at half the weight of major competitors. The embedded version weighs 85 grams and provides full GNSS band coverage supporting GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS, SBAS, and correction services. The advanced four-feed design minimizes multipath interference while maintaining stable phase center performance for centimeter-level accuracy.

Available mounting options include embedded, pole, surface, and through-hole configurations. The antenna integrates eXtended Filtering technology for interference rejection in crowded RF environments.

“GNSS users need full band antennas they can trust to deliver clean signals in real-world environments,” said Ken MacLeod, Director of Product Management. “The Accutenna 4 family brings together precision, durability and adaptability in four packages: embedded, pole, surface and through hole mounts, empowering customers in surveying, autonomy, agriculture and more”.

Both antenna families target applications including UAV navigation, precision agriculture, surveying, and autonomous systems where weight, size, and RF interference rejection are critical performance factors.
