The last time the Arizona Cardinals were in action, they were losing a tight contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Despite falling down early to their NFC West rivals, Arizona scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 20, only to lose on a field goal.
Similar to the team’s slow start, second-year wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. started slowly as well before closing fast. Harrison had several key catches in the comeback effort, including a touchdown in that fourth quarter, to bolster hope that the young wide receiver was getting on track.
If this incredible catch early against the Tennessee Titans is any indication, that is exactly what is taking place.
With Arizona facing a 1st-and-10 against the Titans, just inside Tennessee territory, quarterback Kyler Murray carried out a run fake and then rolled to his right, before launching a deep shot in Harrison’s direction.
Somehow, some way, Harrison jumped over a pair of Tennessee defenders for a stunning big play:
The flag on the play was against Titans cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis, who was flagged for illegal contact against Harrison on the play. The catch was reviewed, and Harrison was ruled down shy of the goal line.
Here’s another look at the catch from Harrison:
These are the moments Cardinals fans are hoping to see more of from Harrison.
