Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action will wrap up with an AFC showdown on Monday Night Football featuring the Kansas City Chiefs visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN.
The Chiefs avoided a dreaded 1-3 start by hammering the Ravens in a 37-20 victory at home last Sunday afternoon. The offense as a whole got loose in the win and starting running back Isiah Pacheco contributed to the effort.
Below, we’ll go over Pacheco’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 5.
Fantasy Football analysis: Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco
Pacheco had just seven carries for 35 yards on the ground in last Sunday’s win over the Ravens, but made his biggest mark in the passing game with a receiving touchdown late in the second quarter. The fourth-year running back currently ranks in the 40’s among running backs in fantasy football this season and his lack of production in the first month was emblematic of the disjointed nature of the Chiefs’ offense.
He enters Week 5 with less rushing yards than Patrick Mahomes and even a returning Xavier Worthy out-rushed him in last week’s win. There’s still plenty of time for him to get things going but as of now, he looks like just a bit player for KC’s offense.
Start or sit in Week 5 Standard leagues?
Sit. Jacksonville’s defense has been wreaking havoc this season and it has yielded just 331 yards and one touchdown on the ground through four games. Even if you’re optimistic about Pacheco potentially turning things around in fantasy football, this is not the spot to use him for one of your starting slots. Stay far away.
