Chrissy Teigen brought a fall staple to the “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” premiere in Los Angeles on Saturday, stepping out in slouchy brown boots.
The pair came in brushed suede with a sharply pointed toe and narrow stiletto heel. The shafts collapsed just below the knee, the suede folding into soft ridges that gave the boots their shape. What appears to be a three-inch heel added height while keeping the silhouette practical for a daytime carpet.

Teigen styled the pair with Bottega Veneta’s gingham cotton midi dress. The dress featured wide black-and-yellow checks cut into a fitted corset top and a tiered A-line skirt that hit mid-calf. Its graphic finish gave a sharper frame to the boots’ rounded suede texture, pushing the look into transitional territory.

The model and cook book author has been building a palette around browns and yellows this year. At May’s Gold Gala, she wore gilded Oscar de la Renta sandals, and earlier this month she added Tom Ford’s butter-yellow Eva pumps to the rotation. The suede boots carried the same warmth, trading metallic shine and satin finish for texture. Together, the gold, yellow, and brown choices trace a consistent spectrum, pointing to a season-long interest in warm tones rather than one-off statements.
Slouchy boots have also been circulating back into rotation, even before the turn of the season. Julia Fox wore thigh-high versions with archival Jean Paul Gaultier while promoting “The Trainer” at Tribeca back in June, while Katie Holmes chose a square-toe cowboy version on the set of “Happy Hour” in July. Teigen’s suede style carried less grit, but the same relaxed shaft that’s marking the return of the look.
