The city of lights got an added touch of sparkle on Wednesday night.
Lola Tung brought shimmer and shine in a look by Kaufmanfranco to the Paris photo call for the third season of “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”
The actress, joined by castmates Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney, turned to Kaufmanfranco’s fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection for her attire. The sleeveless dress featured a plunging neckline and slightly formfitting silhouette with a column skirt that flowed to the ground.

A standout element of the dress was the backless moment it created for Tung. The Kaufmanfranco design was nearly totally backless, save for the halter neckline at the back and a band of fabric that joined secure fastening above the waistline.
Curated by stylist Britt McCamey, Tung’s look also included Frank Darling custom rings and jewelry pieces for her minimalist accessories. The actress’ hair featured a middle part with reddish tones styled in a straight fashion by Dana Boyer, with makeup provided by Misha Shahzada.

Kaufmanfranco, founded by Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco, debuted its fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection during New York Fashion Week in February of that year. The collection, which turned to “Kate Moss’ sensual style,” included such highlights as “languid dresses, both short and long, in an icy palette,” per WWD’s review of the curation.
Although Kaufmanfranco’s site is still active, the label stopped producing new collections nearly 10 years ago. The brand’s spring 2017 collection marked its final curation of designs.
The dress worn by Tung was such a standout piece from the fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection that Miranda Kerr wore the gown to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March 2014, roughly one month after the garment made its runway debut.

Based on the young adult book series by Jenny Han, “The Summer I Turned Pretty” follows Belly Conklin, played by Tung, as she navigates a love triangle between brothers Conrad and Jeremiah, played by Briney and Casalegno respectively. All three seasons of the series are available to stream on Prime Video.
