The 2025 NFL season is officially underway and so is the fantasy football campaign’s for managers across all kinds of different formats. All kinds of different wide receivers stepped up with impressive debut performances for the new year and now it’s time to sort out the pecking order of these pass catchers ahead of Week 2.
Head coach Andy Reid considers Worthy “day-to-day,” which seems to indicate Worthy will wear a brace and try to play through the injury. His odds of playing this week aren’t really known at this point, so we’ll need to keep an eye on the practice reports. If he can’t play, Hollywood Brown continues to get a significant boost in opportunities.
London suffered a shoulder sprain against the Buccaneers, but there is a chance he won’t miss time. Keep a close eye on the injury reports for his status this week.
Mooney was unable to play on a questionable tag in Week 1 due to a shoulder injury, but he was a game-time decision. It would make sense that he has a good chance to play this week against the Vikings. If London were to miss and Mooney can play, he would get a big bump in opportunities.
Jennings suffered a shoulder injury in Seattle in Week 1, but it appears he avoided a serious injury, per Ian Rapoport. At this point in the week it at least appears he’ll be able to play against the Saints, but keep an eye on the injury reports.
Kirk missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury. He does have a chance to play this week, but I wouldn’t count on him just yet.
Godwin isn’t on the PUP list, but all reports point to him not returning until around Week 5 due to rehab on his surgically repaired ankle.
We want our game script for wide receivers to be pass, pass, pass, and then pass some more, and when you add that to a high point total, you’re setting yourself up for success.
