The ongoing situation between Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys has reached a resolution.
With the standout linebacker heading to the NFC North.
After weeks of speculation and increasing tension between the two sides, the Cowboys have traded the three-time All-Pro and former Defensive Rookie of the Year to the Green Bay Packers. Parsons has already agreed on a four-year contract with the Packers, worth up to $188 million.
According to reports, the Packers are sending “at least two first-rounders” to the Cowboys as part of the trade. Adam Schefter of ESPN described the compensation as “two first-round picks and a front-line player.”
In a statement on social media, Parsons addressed the move. Saying he “always believed in the star,” Parsons called playing for Dallas more than a “dream,” but also “destiny.”
However, Parsons also indicated that while he “never wanted this chapter to end,” not everything was in his control:
The Cowboys begin the 2025 NFL season a week from tonight, in Philadelphia to take on the Eagles.
And now they will do so without Parsons on the field with them.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
