Anne Hathaway’s ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Dance Shoes Are René Caovilla

Anne Hathaway‘s “The Devil Wears Prada 2” character, Andy Sachs, was throwing a party on the streets of Brooklyn on Tuesday night. While filming the movie, the actress and costar Patrick Brammall were spotted dancing along to Janet Jackson’s “All for You,” with Hathaway wearing a shiny pair of René Caovilla sandals.

The actress wore the brand’s Braid sandal, which featured an electric blue satin material and an extra layer of glitz thanks to its hand-applied rhinestones that were delicately placed along all of the straps, complementing the sparkles on her blue Rabanne dress.

A closer look at the heel.

The sandals feature a round-toe silhouette and are decorated with even more sparkle with the signature Caovilla Stardust sole that adds glitter to the soles and the interior part of the heel. As Hathaway floated through the New York streets, the shoes sparkled along with the dress.

The Braid sandals retail for $1,660 on the Italian luxury footwear designer’s website.

René Caovilla is one of the oldest luxury footwear brands in the industry, but continues to stay top of mind, thanks to its modern takes on elegant designs and its many celebrity fans. The brand has used its glittering Stardust soles as a signature on their shoes since 2008, making them even easier to spot. Other designers have also used their soles as a calling card, including Christian Louboutin, who famously uses red paint on his soles and Santoni, who uses orange on his soles.

This is the second blue heel with a braided detail that Hathaway’s character has been seen wearing on the sequel’s set. She has been spotted wearing Gabriella Hearst’s Andres Braided pump in navy multi leather on more than one occasion since the movie began filming in July. Hathaway has also been spotted wearing footwear from Paris Texas, Prada, Chloé, Chanel, Golden Goose and more, so far.

Molly Rogers is the costume designer for “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” and she is working alongside Patricia Field. Field was the costume designer from the original 2006 film, but is now working as a consultant for the sequel. Rogers is no stranger to sequels for beloved franchises, and previously worked on the “Sex and the City” reboot series, the now-canceled, “And Just Like That.”

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2026. Take a look at the shoes from the film below.
