Choosing the celebrity-popular So Kate pumps from the brand, the shoes featured a pointed-toe design and a closed-back construction that sturdily held the back of her feet in place. Complete with Louboutin’s signature red bottom, the silhouette was completed with a razor-sharp stiletto heel.

Pointed-toe pumps are a retro style that has been around since the early 1900s. The current versions of pointed-toe pumps are a classic model that merges elements of that retro style with current 2020s inspiration. Many brands such as Stuart Weitzman, Chanel and Gucci offer a wide range of pointed pumps throughout the season, as the shoe is often preferred for red carpets and formal occasions due to its versatility and ease of styling.
As for her outfit, the UCLA national champion gymnast shone bright in a beige minidress from Cong Tri’s spring 2025 collection, creating a monochromatic look.

While Chiles herself may not always choose pumps for her events, she typically always goes for an elevated heel of some sort. For example, she attended the Los Angeles premiere at TCL Chinese Theatre of “Superman” earlier in July in a pair of sky-high platform sandals that featured a six-inch heel, a wide-toe strap across the upper that flared out towards the sides, a thick strap across the upper that created a slight peep-toe effect and a strap around the ankle with a gold buckle.
She was also seen wearing a similar pair at the 2025 Black Excellence Brunch in New Orleans, where she joined fellow honorees, including Chris Tucker, Angela Rye, and Jordin Sparks, for the annual celebration spotlighting leaders in culture, activism, and the arts.
For the occasion, the Olympic gymnast wore a pair of glittering black platform stilettos with a barely-there ankle strap and peep-toe finish. The nearly six-inch heels were set on a narrow, tapered base, making Chiles one of the latest celebrities to get on the platform stiletto trend dominating summer 2025.
