Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Butterflies’ IH4480-100: How to Buy

Nike quietly released a new version of the iconic triple-white Air Force 1 Low for women this month — and despite a lack of promotion, the new style has already sold out.

The latest spin on the brand’s iconic triple-white colorway is this women’s Nike Air Force 1 Low, which actually adds a small touch of black on the insole branding. But the highlight of this pair is its butterfly-shaped leather cut-outs which adorn the lateral and medial sides of the shoe.

Each butterfly shape is affixed to the Air Force 1 Low with a Swoosh-branded pearl, offering a subtle yet distinct spin on the shoe’s traditionally blank canvas. Unlike some of Nike’s other recent releases equipped with charms and ornaments, it doesn’t appear that the butterflies on this Air Force 1 can be removed or rearranged.

Surprisingly, Nike’s own product description makes no direct mention of the elements that make this pair unique, only mentioning that the 1980s model was combined “with bold details for style that tracks whether you’re on court or on the go.”

Adding playful details to classic sneakers has been part of Nike, Inc.’s modus operandi in recent years. Recent examples include a Mother’s Day-themed “Forget Me Not” Air Jordan 4, a style equipped with various shapes and sizes of floral patches, and the Air Jordan 4 Net, which was packaged with metallic pendants. This concept falls into the wider shoe charm trend, a look which has appeared on athletic and designer footwear alike.

With a full colorway of White/Black/White and a style code of IH4480-100, tracking down this Nike Air Force 1 Low for its $130 retail price may prove difficult. Thus far, the style has only been released via Nike’s e-commerce store and further availability has not been confirmed. Select sizes have sporadically reappeared on nike.com, but they’ve sold just as quickly as they’ve been restocked.

For now, it’s looking like the only way to procure this pair will be through the resale market, where it’s currently available for a slight price premium on platforms including GOAT and StockX.
