Miley Cyrus Serves Glamour in Patent Stilettos & Patrick Kelly Dress

Miley Cyrus marked her arrival in Paris on Tuesday with a subtle nod to the city’s fashion history, wearing an archival dress from late designer Patrick Kelly paired with classic black stilettos.

She wore pointed pumps in black patent leather, featuring an elongated toe, a thin stiletto heel, and a delicate ankle strap with minimal hardware. The sleek silhouette added structure to the look and echoed recent pairs she’s worn by brands including Christian Louboutin and Paris Texas. She styled the shoes with sheer black tights, maintaining a sharp, monochromatic line.

Cyrus’s dress — a long-sleeved black knit minidress from Patrick Kelly’s late-1980s runway — featured a rhinestone Eiffel Tower appliqué formed from rows of crystal embellishments. Known for his playful, symbol-driven designs, Kelly became the first American designer inducted into France’s Chambre Syndicale du Prêt-à-Porter in 1988. The look revived the visual language of his era — bold, referential and tightly constructed.

The appearance follows a string of similarly structured looks tied to Cyrus’s “Endless Summer Vacation” visual album campaign. Earlier this month, she wore a vintage Thierry Mugler dress with glossy black pumps, and just days later selected Paris Texas slingbacks to accompany a sculptural Schiaparelli gown at the Tribeca premiere of “Something Beautiful.”

Though Cyrus has rotated through platforms, Tabi flats and metallic sandals throughout the press tour, her recent run of pointed pumps — often anchored by texture or patent finish — suggests a return to sharper styling.

Patrick Kelly’s work has resurfaced in recent years through retrospectives and select celebrity pulls. For Cyrus, the Eiffel Tower motif offered a city-specific reference while tapping into a larger pattern: curating pieces that speak to image, iconography and fashion memory. Her choice to pair it with streamlined patent heels kept the focus on structure — an approach consistent with her current style arc.

Kelly’s archive remains largely unavailable to purchase, though select pieces have appeared in museum collections and private rentals.
