The NY Giants are already fighting each other in OTAs

It’s nice to know that some things in football will always stay the same, like the Giants being their own worst enemy. Weekly OTAs capped off on Thursday with a massive fight with Brian Burns and offensive tackle James Hudson. Then in a separate incident Kayvon Thibodeux threw punches at guard Jermaine Eluemunor

Now this is how veterans set an example when rookie Abdul Carter is trying to learn from them. There’s no video of the incident, as cameras weren’t allowed for the largely closed-doors OTAs, though when asked about the fight after practice Burns said it was simply a case of the heat getting to them.

Hudson joined the Giants as a free agent this spring after spending four years with the Browns as a backup right tackle, where he earned the odious honor of being one of the worst graded offensive tackles in the NFL last year by Pro Football Focus, allowing an astonishing 15 pressures in only 222 snaps.

This isn’t the first time Hudson has gotten under a teammate’s skin. In 2023 he was slapped by Ogbo Okoronkwo during Browns training camp, leading to a fracas between the two.

It’s been a tough weak of OTAs to say the least. All three of the Giants QBs have struggled against the team’s defense, and now players are fighting each other. Everything is fine.
