Northwestern Women’s Golf wins 2025 NCAA Championship

It has been a hectic week in Carlsbad as the NCAA Women’s Championship has been unfolding on a day by day basis. Wednesday brought the National Championship showdown between the Northwestern Wildcats and Stanford Cardinal and at long last we have a winner.

The Northwestern Wildcats Women’s Golf team are national champions!

It took all five matches to decide it, but Northwestern walked away the winners in impressive fashion.

Stanford entered the tournament as the heavy favorites so it was hardly shocking to see them make it to Wednesday. Northwestern would not be denied though and now have the hardware to prove it.

Dianna Lee had a birdie putt to win it on the par-5 18th and it lipped out for a par putt that was just long enough to make it dicy. Stanford’s Andrea Revuelta was unable to make birdie and Lee made the par look easy right before launching into celebration.

The men will begin play in the NCAA Tournament on Friday to round out the college golf season.

Congratulations to Northwestern!
