Sarah Jessica Parker has officially joined in the revival of polka dots. Promoting the upcoming third season of “And Just Like That…,” the actress stopped by “Good Morning America” on Monday, wearing a look from Luisa Beccaria‘s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection. Her matching set consisted of a pencil skirt and blazer cinched with a belt, all of which featured a scattering of white polka dots against a sky blue fabric.

The polka-dot pattern was present throughout Luisa Beccaria’s fall 2025 collection, as described by WWD’s Martino Carrera in February. “Perhaps with help from her eldest daughter Lucilla Bonaccorsi — her right-hand woman for a longtime — she ventured into edgier, and more contemporary territory, with miniskirt suits featuring egg-shaped pea jackets, corduroy safari pantsuits and faille polka-dot opera coats in a handsome chocolate shade layered over a same-pattern pajama set,” he wrote.

Deriving its name from the Czech polka dance, which was popular in the 19th century, the timeless pattern has lived through many life cycles and is associated with a variety of names, from Minnie Mouse to Princess Diana. The pattern has taken many forms across a range of creations through the years, and a range of luxury brands and influential stars have brought polka dots back to the recent fashion spotlight.
Olivia Rodrigo wore a flowy polka dot dress from White House Black Market in New York City back in January, pairing the dress with bow-adorned semi-sheer sandals and a Miu Miu bag.

Kate Middleton also contributed to the polka-dot revival with a demure dress from Alessandra Rich featuring a midi skirt, balloon cap sleeves and a high neck, picking out the garment for the Thanksgiving Service commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day earlier in May. A black fascinator emphasized the formality of her ensemble.

Olivia “Livvy” Dunne went with a more sparse take on polka dots for a Kentucky Derby look earlier this month, showcasing a black and white dress from For Love & Lemons for the occasion. She paired the dress with a wide-brimmed hat, the accessory strongly associated with the horse race.

Among designers, Carolina Herrera embraced polka dots for its spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. Booth Moore reviewed the collection for WWD, writing in part, “…the collection started in black-and-white, inspired by the delightfully dotty packaging from the debut Carolina Herrera fragrance launched in 1997.…”
Another brand that has showcased polka dots recently is Fendi, which explored the pattern in its fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection with colorful coats.
