Allergan Aesthetics Launches New Training Centers for Professionals

Class will soon be in session at the Allergan Aesthetics headquarters. The AbbVie brand plans to open doors at its headquarters in Irvine, Calif., to offer an immersive training center for health care professionals in innovations in the science of aesthetics.

An additional two forthcoming U.S. branches will house Allergan Medical Institutes (AMI), with a launch at its Orange County headquarters later this year followed by locations in Atlanta and Austin. AMI also plans to expand with more than 10 centers worldwide.

“The new AMI Training Centers are designed to help expand and elevate our existing best-in-class training programs,” said Glen Curran, senior vice president, U.S., Allergan Aesthetics. “The facilities will offer a range of courses for providers at every stage of learning helping them to safely and effectively deliver excellent outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.”

Health care professionals and business owners will enrich their knowledge of the brand’s portfolio of products through educational programs that are designed to enhance “clinical techniques, complications management expertise and business acumen,” according to the brand.

Participants will engage in hands-on training, roundtable forums, national symposia, live webcast events and an online learning program. It follows Allergan Aesthetics’ free AMI Business Education learning initiatives that launched last year.

The announcement arrives in tandem with Allergan Aesthetics’ recent casting call for the Faces of Natrelle campaign — a search for women with inspiring stories who have experienced breast reconstruction and or augmentation to share their journey in its For Every Body platform, highlighting the brand’s development of customized looks for diverse body types. The implants are intended for breast reconstruction to replace removed tissue due to cancer, trauma, abnormality and revision surgery, among other conditions.
