After performing as the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” last year in May, Sabrina Carpenter returned to the crew on Sunday for “SNL 50: The Anniversary Special.” The star was not only a guest, but also part of the show: she opened the celebration singing with Paul Simon before appearing later in a sketch with Pedro Pascal, Marcello Hernandez and Bad Bunny.

For the red carpet and opening performance, Carpenter favored a brand that has served her well in the past: Versace. She wore a sheer, nude-illusion gown. The draped piece includes an asymmetrical off-the-shoulder detail. From top to bottom, it was notably dripping in various embellishments, including pearls and other stones.
Stylist Jared Ellner completed the dress with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin platform sandals, a silhouette that Carpenter prefers.

Her blonde hair was treated to big curls by Evanie Frausto while Carolina Gonzalez gave her blush heavy glam.
Versace has dressed Carpenter for quite a number of major moments. Most notably the singer wore a gold sweetheart Atelier Versace gown onstage when she accepted two Grammy Awards earlier this month. Then in October, when the star attended the Time 100 Gala, she wore another sweetheart gown from the brand: this one was in silver and featured a thigh-high slit.
The “Sweetener” performer officially joined the Versace family last year. In December, she was unveiled as one of the faces of the Biggie sunglasses campaign alongside Alexandre Sarr.

“I am thrilled to have Sabrina and Alexandre join our Versace family in their fabulous Biggie glasses,” said chief creative officer Donatella Versace. “From Notorious B.I.G. to the extraordinary talent of today, the Biggie community are rebels, groundbreakers and champions of the true Versace spirit.”
