Josie Natori’s fall 2025 collection was about texture, with the designer opting to show a more seasonless range that took inspiration from the “layered aesthetic of Japanese tradition,” according to the designer.
“From fall last year, one of the things we wanted to do was make it really seasonless,” she said about the collection. “We found the balance because it’s definitely what the customers are looking for. It’s really a year-round collection.”
This emphasis on offering a seasonless collection came through the diverse range of the fall 2025 lineup. Natori offered an array of summer dresses, knitted sets and outerwear that can work year-round.
The collection offered various three-dimensional and tactile looks that reflected the designer’s inspiration. The designer used a shibori Japanese taffeta crinkled fabric for several tactile styles like a deep red tunic and trouser matching set and several acid-wash pieces.
She also utilized a stretched faux suede that was embroidered with an origami-style technique that offered more texture. Other standout looks included a cocoon-like jacket embellished with three-dimensional flowers and sequined trousers paired with a billowy dress shirt.
While the collection was centered on an earthy color palette, Natori also included floral prints in black and white and blue and green, which gave the collection more added dimension. The florals were created in a brushstroke pattern that reflected a couture-like inspiration.
Natori’s fall 2025 collection showed the designer’s understanding of her clientele and how she can create newness with her tried-and-true silhouettes.
