Lupita Nyong’o arrived at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards red carpet on Friday in Los Angeles, wearing a strapless Chanel minidress with a wavy trim across the neckline and skirt. It featured a pattern of bright pink flowers and green leaves over a white background.
She overlayed the ensemble with a see-through black tulle that draped off her shoulders, cinched at the waist and cascaded into a floor-length skirt.

Nyong’o wore her hair in a sleek low bun and accessorized with De Beers jewelry. She also wore black strappy heels.
The “Black Panther” and “A Quiet Place: Day One” actress is a presenter at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards ceremony. She has won two Critics’ Choice Awards, one for Best Supporting Actress for “12 Years a Slave” in 2014 and another in 2019 for Best Actress in a Horror Movie for “Us.”

Last year, Nyong’o was named Chanel’s new brand ambassador. The announcement came after the star attended its spring 2025 ready-to-wear show at the Grand Palais on the final day of Paris Fashion Week.
The Oscar-winning actress and producer frequently wears the French fashion house’s designs on the red carpet. While promoting “A Quiet Place: Day One” in Beverly Hills, she wore a pink Chanel couture tweed coatdress with floral beading and carried a matching pink Chanel quilted flap bag. She wore yellow lace and white flower-patterned Chanel Spring 2022 Haute Couture dress to the 2023 Academy Museum Gala.
At the 2023 Biarritz International Film Festival, sponsored by Chanel, Nyong’o raved about her long relationship with the fashion house. “It’s a brand that really knows its identity, with I guess you could call it exploration and playfulness, while just following who they are,” she told WWD. “I love that it is consistent.”

Margot Robbie will honor her “Barbie” co-star, America Ferrera, with the SeeHer Award, while James Mangold will present Harrison Ford with the Career Achievement Award.
