Nordstrom NYC Features Diotima, the Womenswear Brand Designed by Rachel Scott in the Revolving Pillar

Nordstrom NYC is partnering with Diotima, the womenswear brand designed by Rachel Scott, who won the CFDA American Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2024.

Her designs will be featured in the Pillar, a dedicated space on Nordstrom’s designer ready-to-wear floor that operates on a rotating basis. It will be up until March 5. The third-floor space, which measures 16-by-7 square feet and is 12-feet high, features a selection of rtw pieces from Diotima’s spring 2025 collection. The price range is $495 to $2,750.

The Diotima collection is also carried in a separate designer area on the third floor.

Nordstrom has been carrying Diotima, which started in 2021, in its stores since spring 2024.

Diotima is rooted in supporting and amplifying artisanal communities in the designer’s hometown of Jamaica.

“I’m thrilled to see the world of Diotima come to life at Nordstrom New York,” said Scott. “This partnership is incredibly dear to the brand and I’m so excited about the business we have been building together over the past few seasons, thanks to the support of Rickie De Sole, the Nordstrom merchants, and their brilliant visual team.

“This install takes direct inspiration from our spring 2025 show concept, incorporating elements like mirrors, bamboo custom-dyed in Diotima hibiscus red, and melted candles, all evoking a blurred — yet vivid — Caribbean dream of summer. Craft and the handmade are threaded throughout each Diotima collection and this display — so beautifully executed by the Nordstrom visual teams — is the perfect backdrop for this season’s hand-stitch details, paillettes melted by hand to resemble oyster shells, hand-beaded fringe and cotton gowns and tops hand-embellished with crystals,” said Scott.

In other news, on Thursday, Time revealed that the 41-year-old Scott has been named to the 2025 “The Closers” list, which recognizes 25 Black leaders working to end inequality. Time explains how she is redefining luxury by championing Caribbean artistry, economic equity and Black representation in fashion, while gaining industry recognition as a disruptor and trailblazer.
