Timothée Chalamet Wears Green Scarf to ‘A Complete Unknown’ Premiere

It’s been a big week for Timothée Chalamet‘s accessories. After wearing a pink scarf and baseball cap to the premiere of “A Complete Unknown” in Paris, and later sporting a mini Chanel crossbody purse, Chalamet attended the Rome premiere of his Bob Dylan biopic with new add-on: a green scarf.

The actor, who has been method dressing throughout his press tour for “A Complete Unknown,” nodded to Dylan’s love of scarves once again with an emerald scarf around his neck. Chalamet paired the green scarf with a denim set from True Religion that featured contrasting stitching, layered bracelets, and a pair of ankle boots.

Chalamet has been working with stylist Taylor McNeill throughout his “Complete Unknown” press tour, including his look at the UK premiere of the film: a custom suit by Martine Rose paired with the designer’s kaleidoscopic green, blue, and black shirt from the spring 2025 collection.

“Timothée Chalamet is a great actor,” McNeill wrote on Instagram, in the caption of a photo from a Q&A Chalamet did about the film at SCAD Show in December. “He’s brilliant as Bob Dylan. He can sing, and play guitar. He can dance. He gives a killer interview. And he looks good in clothes too.” For the occasion, Chalamet wore a black leather jacket with a pink sweater and pink shirt beneath it, jeans, and sneakers.

In “A Complete Unknown,” Chalamet suits up as the music icon with help from Academy Award-nominated costume designer Arianne Phillips. The costume designer captured Dylan’s style transformation that transpired after a trip to the UK where he spent time with the Beatles — looking to motorcycle jackets, skinny suits, and the exact style of Levi’s that Dylan wore (lot 501 XX and the rare Lot 606 Super Slims).

“Bob came back [to America] dressing more performative, and with more thought. He put his own take on the British Mods — his jeans got skinny and his Chelsea boots became very pointy,” Phillips told WWD in December, adding, “Our story is about Bob’s origin — finding his way to New York City in search of his hero, Woody Guthrie and his relationship to fame. A biopic on him is quite tricky because he is a very cryptic person, who has kept a lot of myths alive about his life. He’s never been really forthcoming and it’s part of his persona — he’s this mythological character that he’s created for himself.”
