NFL moves Vikings-Rams playoff game to Arizona as LA fires rage

As wildfires continue to rage in Los Angeles County, the NFL has decided to move Monday night’s Wild Card game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Minnesota Vikings to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the home of the Arizona Cardinals.

The game was scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium, but on Wednesday the league indicated that a contingency plan was in place to move the game to Arizona if conditions worsened. Thursday evening, the league put that plan into place.

“In the interest of public safety, Monday’s Vikings-Rams Wild Card game has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA to State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals,” began a statement from the NFL.

The league indicated that the decision to move the game to Arizona was “made in consultation with public officials, the participating clubs and the NFLPA.”

The game will be televised on ESPN, ABC, and ESPN+.
