New Parachute Recovery System Supports Regulatory Compliance for Flying Over People
AVSS Introduces the PRS-M4S
AVSS – Aerial Vehicle Safety Solutions Inc. (AVSS) has announced the launch of its PRS-M4S Parachute Recovery System, designed for the newly unveiled DJI Matrice 4 Series. This product offers compatibility with both the DJI Matrice 4 Enterprise and DJI Matrice 4 Thermal drones.
The DJI Matrice 4 Series was announced today, and AVSS has joined the launch with its PRS-M4S. According to AVSS, this system is aimed at enterprise drone users seeking regulatory approval for operations over people. AVSS plans to begin deliveries through authorized resellers in June 2025.
A Complete Recovery System for Safety and Compliance
The PRS-M4S features a plug-and-play design for ease of use. It includes a Parachute Recovery System (PRS), Flight Termination System (FTS), Automatic Triggering System (ATS), Manual Triggering Device (MTD), and necessary regulatory documentation.
The system enables enterprise drone pilots to comply with multiple safety standards and regulations. According to AVSS, the PRS-M4S meets requirements for:
- EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency MOC 2512)
- ASTM International (F3322)
- FAA Operations Over People (Federal Aviation Administration)
- Transport Canada Operations Over People
- Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority
- Other jurisdictions following JARUS official SORA guidelines

AVSS distributes its products globally through a network of over 50 authorized dealers and works directly with drone manufacturers. The PRS-M4S adds to their existing portfolio of retrofit systems, including parachute systems for models like the DJI M300 RTK and DJI M350 RTK.
