J. Lindeberg Signs French Golfer Matthieu Pavon to Its Roster

J. Lindeberg has signed the French golfer Matthieu Pavon to a multiyear contract, starting in 2025.

Pavon, 32, turned professional in 2013 and won his first DP World Tour victory at the Acciona Open de España. He joined the PGA Tour in 2024 and won the Farmers Insurance Open in just his third start, becoming the first Frenchman to win on the PGA Tour since 1907. He is currently ranked 29th in the world and will kick off 2025 in Maui Jan. 2 to 5, where he will wear J. Lindeberg’s pre-spring ’25 collection.

“I’m someone who takes pride in my style, both on and off the course,” Pavon said. “J. Lindeberg has always stood out as a brand that perfectly aligns with my expectations. Their unique approach to design and the exceptional quality of their clothing immediately appealed to me. I’m excited to start wearing their outfits in January. 2024 has been a great year for me, and this partnership comes at a time when I feel ready to keep progressing. Aligning with J. Lindeberg gives me a true sense of confidence and pride for what lies ahead.”

Pavon added that he shares “a common vision” with the company. “Their focus on authenticity, innovation, and their ability to stand out while staying true to their values are qualities that resonate with my own approach, both on and off the course.”

Whether he’s competing or relaxing, Pavon said he chooses clothes that are comfortable and give him a sense of confidence, “trusting that this sense of ease will translate into my performance on the course. Sometimes, it’s as simple as going with the mood of the day.”

Pavon added that he is especially enamored with the fact that J. Lindeberg’s collection goes beyond golf. “Their casualwear is both stylish and modern, making it perfect for my everyday life, whether it’s a relaxed outing or time spent off the course. My style is important to me because it reflects who I am. On the course and beyond, I like to wear outfits that feel like me and make me feel comfortable. J. Lindeberg’s clothing perfectly highlights my personality and style while allowing me to stay natural and confident.”

Pavon said golf today is unique because it “combines performance, authenticity, and elegance. We’re lucky to be able to express a distinct sense of style on the course compared to other sports like football or tennis. It’s a great opportunity to combine a passion for the game with a sense of style.” And looking ahead, he said he’s hopeful the partnership will continue and “grow over time.”

Hans-Christian Meyer, chief executive officer of the Stockholm-based J. Lindeberg, added: “Matthieu’s exceptional talent, determination and impressive achievements perfectly align with our vision of bridging sport and fashion through the prism of performance and style. His rise in the golf world and his strong commitment to pushing limits is on par with ours, and we look forward to seeing Matthieu bring our collections to life on the global stage.”

J. Lindeberg was founded in Sweden in 1996 and it’s now available in more than 62 countries.
