A bit of interior design led Nili Lotan to her hero piece for pre-fall 2025. “The must-have piece for me for the season is the leather blazer. I’ve been wearing it already, and everyone wants to take it off my back,” Lotan said.
She’d been looking for the perfect black leather couch for one of her homes and it carried over into her pre-fall collection. It showed up in bomber jackets, her hero blazer and sharp-fitting pants. Not big swings but reimagined ideas on her “vibe,” which she says is her point of difference.
“I find more and more need to differentiate myself from the rest of the collections around me. And that the best way to do it is stick to my own life, to my own ease,” she explained. “The most important thing I hold onto, it’s this cool vibe. it’s an attitude, it’s sexiness. It’s not about being pretty.”
Black denim, khaki pants, leopard print jackets, striped sweaters, and touches of burgundy and chocolate brown — these are staples of a wardrobe but with Lotan’s stamp of urban polish that she has spent years developing. “It’s small steps,” the designer said of how she approaches each season, preferring to follow her gut and customers’ needs rather than trends.
Menswear is a compliment to the woman’s assortment, with striped sweaters, mackintosh jackets and, of course, black leather and denim. “There’s a relationship always,” she said of the two collections.
For Lotan, cool is cool, regardless of gender.
