The Lamborghini Miura SV is easily the most beautiful production car to ever hit the road. Do not fight me on this. Search your feelings, you know it to be true. Beauty and rarity have contributed to this car exploding in value over the years, and ahead of this one selling for a massive seven-figure price tag, it needed to be properly cleaned to attract its new buyer. There’s probably nobody in the business with more attention to detail than Larry of Ammo NYC.
I’m hardly a detail guy, but I find serious entertainment in watching Larry do it. Who else would take the time to polish the car’s original cigarette lighter?
When I wash my cars, I’m usually more than happy to run them through a foamy fabric slapper ten dollar drive-thru. Who cares? It’s just an old car that I love dearly and would resort to violence to protect. Why would I notice thousands of little scratches in my paint? People like Larry elevate the car washing process to an art form, and while this detail likely took multiple days and dozens of hours of hard labor, the results speak volumes. Instead of my ugly old junk with dull paint, this Miura looks damn near as good as it did in the 1970s.
Maybe I should start paying more attention to the cleanliness and paint quality of my cars. Perhaps that’s something I’ll add to my list of New Year’s resolutions for 2025. Like properly learning to weld or losing 20 pounds, it’ll probably be re-added to my list this time next year, too. It’s so hard to stick to a plan.
