Tommy Bahama to Open New Store, Restaurant in Sarasota, Fla., in 2025

Tommy Bahama is committed to Sarasota, Fla.

The company has had a presence in the city’s commercial center, St. Armands Circle, since 1996 when a store and restaurant debuted at 465 John Ringling Boulevard. Since then the popularity of the restaurant prompted the company to convert the space to the restaurant only and the store was relocated several blocks away to 371 St. Armands Circle.

However, due to the recent storms, the restaurant was forced to close and the building was too badly damaged to reopen. The store is slated to reopen this weekend. Now the company has committed to open a new Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Bar & Store at 465 John Ringling Boulevard in St Armands Circle in early 2025, which will bring the entire concept together once again. The existing store will remain open after the new combined space opens next year. The new space will be 11,000 square feet with 6,000 square feet dedicated to the 180-seat restaurant and 5,000 to the store.

Tommy Bahama opened in Sarasota 28 years ago as the company’s second location and it has always been such an important part of our brand DNA,” said Doug Wood, chief executive officer of Tommy Bahama. “The idea of not having a restaurant in St. Armands, which is like a second home to us, was unthinkable. We were so excited to find a new location that allows us to stay in St. Armand’s and reunite the restaurant and retail under one roof to provide our guests with the authentic Tommy Bahama experience.”

Tommy Bahama operates other locations in Sarasota including a Marlin Bar in Lakewood Ranch and retail stores in Sarasota UTC and Siesta Keys.

Tommy Bahama is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oxford Industries.
