The A-list cast of “Gladiator II” and special guests hit the red carpet premiere of the film on Monday in Los Angeles. Paul Mescal, the star of Ridley Scott’s sequel to his 2000 Oscar-winning picture, suited up for the event in one of his go-to designers.

Paul Mescal
Mescal suited up for the Los Angeles premiere of the film in Gucci. The black suit featured a tailored look, complete with a complementary charcoal gray vest and white shirt. Grooming for Mescal’s look was provided by Josh Knight. His look was curated by stylist Felicity Kay.
Mescal wore Gucci designs throughout the promotional tour of “Gladiator II.” The actor previously appeared in the Gucci campaign dedicated to the Signature Horsebit 1953 Loafer in October 2023.
Jurnee Smollett
Smollett sparkled in her floral print dress on the red carpet of the “Gladiator II” premiere in Los Angeles. The actress wore a shimmering dress set with a blue base and pink and cream flowers with green accents cascading over the fabric. Smollett has worked with stylist Jamie Mizrahi in the recent past.
Pauletta and Denzel Washington
Pauletta and Denzel Washington favored complementary looks for the red carpet event. Pauletta Washington wore a leopard print coatdress with a double-breasted silhouette, while two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington wore an all-black look with black and white sneakers.
Lewis Hamilton
Hamilton went sleeveless for the Los Angeles red carpet premiere of “Gladiator II.” The British race car driver wore a black vest and coordinated wide-leg trousers for the occasion.
“Gladiator II,” directed by Scott, takes place years after the events of “Gladiator.” The film follows Lucius, played by Mescal, who is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home in Rome is taken over by tyrannical rulers. Lucius must look to his past to find the strength to return Rome to its people. The film hits theaters Friday.
