Princess Charlene of Monaco was joined by her husband of 13 years Prince Albert II on Thursday for the Red Cross Gifts Distribution in Monaco. The royal couple have long supported the efforts of the Red Cross organizations and met with locals during the distribution process.
For the occasion, Princess Charlene opted for a quiet luxury twist on the popular vest trend, which saw a resurgence in 2024. The royal wore an elongated taupe vest with sharp lapels over a long-sleeve black turtleneck and black jacket.
Princess Charlene paired the look with black, tapered trousers with black kitten heels to complete the ensemble. Her blond hair was coiffed in a bob with a side part and her makeup featured a natural look with just a hint of a rosy lip.
A bevy of celebrities and A-list stars have capitalized on the return of the vest trend throughout 2024. Several notable stars have styled the look, including Willow Smith, who put a Y2K twist on the trend, Jessica Alba, Ayo Edebiri and more.
Princess Charlene’s public engagement for the Red Cross Gifts Distribution also served to highlight the royal’s long-standing relationship with the organization. Princess Charlene has attended the Red Cross Ball in Monaco for several years alongside her husband, Prince Albert II.
For the 75th anniversary of the Monaco Red Cross Ball last July, Princess Charlene wore a bespoke white Louis Vuitton off-the-shoulder dress with a gold belt. She accessorized her formal look with the French luxury fashion house’s minaudiere bijou clutch and dangling yellow diamond earrings by Graff.
Princess Charlene first attended Monaco’s Red Cross Ball in 2006, for which she wore a borrowed piece from a South African designer. The forest green gown featured several shimmering elements and modest fabric draping. She has since worn designs by Akris, Versace and Marchesa for the event.
