Elizabeth Hurley embraced the vibrant atmosphere of the 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup alongside her son, model Damian Hurley. She attended various parties surrounding the horse racing event in two Rebecca Vallance dresses, featuring playful floral details and textured designs.
For the 2024 Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday, Hurley chose a strapless yellow midi dress by Australian designer Rebecca Vallance. The bespoke, structured midi dress featured large, three-dimensional sun-yellow flowers along the top of the bodice and around her shoulders. She paired the look with soft mauve Manolo Blahnik pumps and a matching small bag.
The crowning element of Hurley’s ensemble was her large floral headpiece. The butter yellow flower featured pistons shooting out of its center, adding a feathered texture to the whimsical look. She completed her ensemble with jewelry by Tiffany & Co.
Hurley’s look was styled by Mike Adler, who has also worked with her son, Damian. The 22-year-old model complemented his mother’s outfit at Melbourne Cup Day with a yellow flower pinned to his classic black suit, paired with pinstripe trousers, a white shirt, a blue tie and a gray waistcoat.
On Wednesday, the “Bedazzled” star wore another Rebecca Vallance piece for the Crown Oaks Club Lunch at Crown Palladium. This Barbiecore-style dress featured a pink-and-red floral pattern, a wrap front bodice, a bias-cut skirt and tucked sleeve heads.
Damian embraced the monochrome trend with a subtle ombre twist in plunging cream blazer, white pants and light brown pointed suede shoes. He chose not to wear a shirt under the blazer, accessorizing with a gold cross pendant necklace.
The Hurleys are not the only celebrities in Australia for the Lexus Melbourne Cup. On Tuesday, Nicky Hilton Rothschild coordinated with Rebecca Vallance in pink and yellow derby styles. Last October, Hilton Rothschild and Vallance launched their collaborative 31-piece holiday dress collection.
