DJI New FPV Goggles N3

DJI New FPV Goggles Offer Novice Pilots an Affordable, User-Friendly Option with Improved Comfort and Control

DJI new FPV gogglesDJI new FPV gogglesDJI has unveiled the DJI Goggles N3, its latest innovation for first-person view (FPV) drone enthusiasts. Designed to provide an immersive flight experience, the Goggles N3 are compatible with DJI’s new Neo and Avata 2 drones. These goggles enable pilots to perform aerial tricks, including flips, rolls, and power loops – while remaining affordable.

Ferdinand Wolf, Product Experience Director at DJI, highlighted the company’s commitment to advancing the FPV experience, saying, “DJI Goggles N3 offers everyone the chance to sit in the cockpit and experience aerial tricks like flips and drifts from the comfort of their living room.” The Goggles N3, priced at $229, make FPV flying accessible to a broader audience, especially those new to drone piloting.

Comfortable, Eyewear-Friendly Design

One standout feature of the DJI Goggles N3 is a spacious, eyewear-friendly design. Unlike many FPV goggles that require pilots to adjust for vision, the Goggles N3 allow users to wear prescription glasses comfortably. Integrated with a balanced headband and battery, the design ensures comfort even during extended flights.

The Goggles N3 also boast a full 1080p display with a wide 54° field of view (FOV), creating an immersive, high-quality visual experience. For pilots flying in varied conditions, the goggles feature a one-tap defogging system that activates an internal fan to prevent fogging, ensuring clear visibility even in high humidity.

Stable, Low-Latency Video Transmission

Equipped with DJI’s advanced O4 digital video transmission system, the Goggles N3 deliver a smooth, stable viewing experience. The system provides live video at 1080p/60fps, with ultra-low latency of 31 ms and a transmission range reaching up to 13 km. By automatically selecting the optimal frequency band (2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz), the Goggles N3 adapt to changing environments, helping pilots maintain a seamless live view even at high speeds.

The Goggles N3’s performance closely aligns with DJI’s Goggles 2, featuring the same robust antenna design. This consistency ensures that even in complex or interference-heavy environments, pilots can enjoy steady, near-synchronous flight visuals.

New Sharing and Control Features

To enhance usability, DJI has included several advanced features in the Goggles N3. An augmented reality (AR) cursor works with the DJI RC Motion 3 controller, allowing pilots to adjust settings directly through the goggles. This AR functionality helps streamline pre-flight adjustments and mid-flight controls, providing greater flexibility during takeoff, braking, or hovering.

DJI has also added a real-time live feed sharing option. By connecting the Goggles N3 to a smartphone via USB-C, users can display the flight feed through the DJI Fly app, allowing friends or family to view the flight from the pilot’s perspective. The Goggles N3 also come with an extended battery life of up to 2.7 hours, ensuring longer, uninterrupted flights.

Availability and Pricing

DJI Goggles N3 will be available in late November at DJI’s online store and selected retail partners for an estimated $229. With these goggles, DJI aims to make the FPV experience more accessible and enjoyable for beginners while delivering the comfort and performance experienced pilots expect.
