“Abbott Elementary” creator, writer and star Quinta Brunson was honored for her show’s commitment to sustainability at the Environmental Media Association Awards in Los Angeles last Saturday.
For the special occasion, Brunson opted for a champagne Rahul Mishra gown adorned with beaded golden snakes and sequins. The full-length, strapless gown featured a sweetheart neckline, accented with intricate snakeskin-like patterned detailing beneath the bust. The dress’s shimmering fabric featured an ombre design, complemented by sheer streaks cascading through the skirt. Her looked was styled by Jessica Paster.
Her co-star, Chris Perfetti, presented her with the organization’s Futures Award. He wore a forest green suit and a dark floral-print shirt with bright white buttons, completing his ensemble with black dress shoes.
“I’m truly honored to receive the EMA Futures Award,” said Brunson, adding “As someone who deeply cares about the environment, it means a lot to be recognized for using both my platform and my comedy to inspire change.”
“I’m proud to be part of a community that values sustainability, and I’m excited to keep moving forward on a path toward a greener planet,” she continued.
The ceremony was a star-studded affair, with others in attendance including Malin Akerman, Dermot Mulroney, Lance Bass, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed, among others.
Rahul Mishra’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection for AFEW emphasizes sustainability by integrating local techniques and eco-friendly practices into familiar silhouettes. The collection features embroidered flower patches on garments, silk separates with prints inspired by couture embroideries and denim adorned with holographic sequins, all crafted with a focus on minimizing environmental impact.
