Saoirse Ronan: A-
We often don’t love a self-tanning moment on the carpet — you know who you are — but on Ronan, with this outfit, it’s adding a sense of drama that makes her look incredible. This soft, uber-pretty glam balances out the sculptural, goth-like quality of the dress.
Demi Moore: B+
She’s channeling the “Sue” version of her character in “The Substance” here — she looks youthful and timeless. This is yet again another comeback for Moore and she’s choosing classic pieces from the golden era of Hollywood to do so. This deep V-neck sequined ultra-fitted long dress, accessorized with perfect diamonds, would’ve looked great back then as it does now.
Kaia Gerber: A
Gerber takes this “My Fair Lady”-esque archival Givenchy look and gives it a “Westworld” spin, with the curled hairstyle and choker necklace. She nails the look.
Meg Ryan: B+
A floor-length floral dress brings back tricky memories of Laura Ashley and other floral escapades. But leave it to Jonathan Anderson to turn a faux pas into a yes. The volume is not super exaggerated on Ryan — it looks great on her.
Colman Domingo: B+
Domingo can wear basically anything — it just works. When you bring a purse that is a white kitty cat, you clearly understand what fashion is about. He’s having fun with it and having a good time — and so are we. It looks better on him than it did on the model on the catwalk.
Paul Mescal: A-
It doesn’t matter what he wears — less is more. But if he is dressing up, a classic double-breasted layered over a low-neck silk top is the way to go. As much as we don’t care about the pin on the lapel, the tiny little watch is a power move.
Kylie Jenner: B-
The vintage Mugler, as much as we love it, is becoming a little too predictable. This spring 1998 number is great and it ticks all the right boxes: It’s sheer, glam and fun. Joy is a trend.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph: A
She’s hitting so many trends: The pastels, the corset, the structural shapes. Randolph has been killing it on the red carpet. This powder pink corseted off the shoulder gown is yet another example of Randolph looking glamorous and on trend. The shorter hairstyle works really well the the silhouette of the dress.
