Anne Hathaway brought texture to the red carpet at Moncler‘s City of Genius event in Shanghai on Saturday. The actress sported a sleeveless hooded black gown from the French brand featuring a shaggy skirt. To complete the look, Hathaway accessorized with gold jewelry and a black clutch from Peter and James.
Hathaway was styled by Erin Walsh, who also caters to celebrity clientele like Selena Gomez and Elizabeth Banks.
Hairdresser Jenny Cho styled the Oscar winner’s brunette tresses in an updo with bangs, while makeup artist Gucci Westman gave her violet blush and a glossy lip.
“In Shanghai, we have created a place where everyone can live creatively. The entire experience is built around the idea of a city with 10 different areas, where each designer invites to live their interpretation of Moncler Genius,” the brand’s chairman and chief executive officer, Remo Ruffini, told WWD of the event, which introduced collaborative collections by Rick Owens, Jil Sander and A$AP Rocky’s AWGE label.
Earlier this month, Hathaway accessorized with Versace‘s newest handbag at the New York premiere of “The Apprentice.” The biographical film, out now, follows Donald Trump’s rise to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s.
Hathaway layered up in a black Versace coatdress from the label’s fall 2024 collection, which featured red accents and gold buttons emblazoned with the Italian house’s signature Medusa logo. A leather miniskirt and thigh-high boots topped off Hathaway’s ensemble, as well as a red Kleio flap bag with a chunky chain strap.
Versace debuted the Kleio shoulder bag on the runway at Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, with the label’s fall 2024 presentation prominently featuring shades of red and black. Versace revealed its first campaign featuring the plush leather crossbody in July, set at the exclusive Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles.
