Back in July, Bartees Strange released âLie 95.â That song and another new one called âSoberâ will appear on the musicianâs second 4AD studio album, Horror, due out February 14. Watch the new âSoberâ video below.
Strange produced Horror with Jack Antonoff, Yves Rothman, and Lawrence Rothman. âIn a way, I think I made this record to reach out to people who may feel afraid of things in their lives, too,â he said of Horror in a press statement. âFor me itâs love, locations, cosmic bad luck, or that feeling of doom that Iâve struggled with for as long as I can remember. I think that itâs easier to navigate the horrors and strangeness of life once you realize that everyone around you feels the same. This album is just me trying to connect. Iâm trying to shrink the size of the world. Iâm trying to feel closeâso Iâm less afraid.â
Bartees Strange broke out, in 2020, with Live Forever. He released his first 4AD album, Farm to Table, in 2022.
