Today, we will discuss the LPGA’s season-long race, what has happened since the American’s Solheim Cup victory, and the women’s schedule for the remainder of their season.
Since the Solheim Cup, the LPGA has held two tournaments: the Kroger Queen City Championship and the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
Lydia Ko won in Ohio, claiming her third win of the year. She made her first start since her Open victory and dominated. The New Zealander won by five strokes.
This past week, Jasmine Suwannapura won the tournament in Arkansas. She defeated Lucy Li in a two-hole playoff to win her third career LPGA event. On Sunday, Suwannapura shot a 10-under 61, while Li shot a personal best 11-under 60 to get into the playoff.
Li played phenomenally on Sunday, recording seven birdies, three eagles and two bogeys.
Most know that the PGA Tour finished its FedEx Cup season in August. However, the women’s tournament year does not conclude until the end of November.

Unlike the PGA Tour, the LPGA has just one tournament to determine their season-long winner: The CME Group Tour Championship.
The Top 60 (plus ties) on the point list will tee it up at the end of November in Naples, Fla., at Tiburon Golf Club.
