NUMBER-ONE FAN: Camila Cabello was having a fan-girl moment. Hot off a prime-time interview on French television the day before, the singer and actress, taking in the Rabanne show in a silver chainmail halter dress, confirmed she would love to collaborate on a song with French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura.
“I love her song; ever since ‘Djadja’ came out, I’ve been a fan of hers,” she said, breaking into a tune. “I’d love to do a song with her,” she revealed, before taking her seat next to Cardi B, sporting Rapunzel-like blond waves that fell almost to the floor for the occasion.
Further down the front row, newlyweds Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson had also amped up their looks to the max for the occasion, looking quite the power couple. She sported a chain-mail hood from Julien Dossena’s designs for the house, while he was shirtless underneath his pale suit, a glittering brooch on his lapel.
Westwick has just wrapped filming a new TV series, “Sandokan,” set in the 19th century and out next year. “It’s about action and adventure and pirates and the British Empire in Borneo,” he summed up.
To get into character, Westwick “waltzed around the house in his costume,” Jackson confided. “Costume makes the character come alive,” said Westwick, the lovebirds completing each other’s sentences. “Makeup as well, costume and makeup can transform a character,” piped in Jackson, who said her summer had largely been occupied by wedding planning for the August ceremony.
Her favorite moment was “walking down the aisle and seeing my son and Ed standing waiting,” she said. “We both had our jaws on the floor, it was incredible,” Westwick confided.
