Cartier Shows Off Its Accessories With Selfridges Pop-up

LONDONCartier is slowly gearing up to take over London, but for now, it’s starting with a pop-up at Selfridges.

The Richemont-owned brand has taken up space in the Accessories Hall of the luxury department store until Nov. 3 to showcase its stylish selection of leather goods, eyewear and silk scarves.

Cartier’s Panthère de Cartier and C de Cartier collections take center stage, which includes the brand’s new Panthère Double bag that’s made from grained calfskin and finished with a subtle golden panther motif, and the spacious C de Cartier Tote bag, featuring three flat pockets and one zipped pocket.

The pop-up will also allow guests to customize their C de Cartier Tote bags.

It’s a timely opportunity for the brand to situate itself at Selfridges as the fever for Christmas shopping starts and as the brand begins to spread the word of its Victoria & Albert Museum exhibition that will take place from April 12 to Nov. 16, 2025.

The exhibition will feature more than 350 objects including jewelry, watches, clocks, drawings, imagery and other special objects.

Items will be lent to the exhibition by King Charles III, U.K. and international museums and private collectors.

The Cartier exhibition will focus on the maison’s art, design and craftsmanship legacy at the turn of the 20th century.

It’s understood that the exhibition will take place at the Sainsbury Gallery, taking over from the commercially successful show on Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel.

“From showstopping jewels and ancient amulets to innovative architecture and product design to fashion fit for a queen, the V&A’s ambitious 2025 program across our family of sites will celebrate creativity, ingenuity and craftsmanship,” said Tristram Hunt, the V&A’s director.
